I wasn't appalled by the topic, I was appalled by the way Scalia was questioned. It was a large gatering of people, and the guy asks that question?
I have no problem with debating an issue (and as a matter of fact, I tend to believe that what goes on in ones bedroom is no one's business but their own), but asking that question in that setting was meant only to embarrass Scalia. The first question was fine, the follow-up was only trying to embarrass.
